It’s not time for your child to “get with the program”
It’s time for the program to get with your child!

Do you know a child who would benefit from a traditional camp program that is specifically designed to meet their current needs and foster social and emotional growth?

This program is tailored to meet the needs of children who have various diagnoses or no diagnosis at all. These children have unique needs both socially and emotionally, and for many reasons have not been able to thrive in the traditional camp setting. Our approach is to provide children with the necessary structure and predictability they need to develop these skills and flourish.

Director - Daniel Selmer, LCSW-R - Daniel Selmer is a camp enthusiast. From being a camper from the age of 6 to running a specialized camp program for the past seven summers, there is nothing about camp that he doesn’t love. Not only does he enjoy experiencing camp through the camper’s eyes, he deeply believes in the benefits of camp for children. He has seen, first hand, the social, emotional and individual growth and development that takes place within a child over the summer. Daniel is a practicing New York State licensed Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience counseling individuals and families. His interests are routed in full spectrum family work, ranging from pediatrics to gerontology. Daniel has been working specifically with families and children with executive functioning and behavioral concerns. He maintains a professional private practice while also running a camp program for children with social challenges. Daniel currently resides in Plainview, NY with his wife and two children.
