Daniel A Selmer, LCSW-R, Psychotherapist
Director of Crestwood Endeavor summer program
will be leading the exciting off-season program Club E@Crestwood
Do you know children who would benefit from a social and recreational
program that is specifically designed to meet their current needs by
developing and fostering their social and emotional growth?
Club E@Crestwood provides a fun & safe place to build functional skills, make new friends, enhance existing friendships, take part in team building activities & practice skills needed for home, school & camp success. Our team of dedicated professionals includes therapists and educators who
have extensive backgrounds in child development and social/recreational programming.
This 4-week program provides a true club experience on consecutive Sundays from 9 am - 12 noon beginning January 8, 2017 through January 29, 2017. Each club day will consist of a combination of thoughtfully designed activities including a huge repertoire of cooperative science experiments, cooking activities, basic athletic-skills instruction, health/hygiene, current events, pop culture discussions AND our weekly AMAZING RACE scavenger hunt.
Members of Club E@Crestwood will be guided on how to gain “ownership” of their club and will be encouraged to work together to suggest and develop activities, as well. The focus on club ownership will help members to develop necessary self advocacy and social skills to build a bridge of successful experiences between the gaps of home, school and camp.
