Read Across America

Read Across America is off to a great start. The children are bringing in their Dr. Seuss hats with the stories they have read on them. They are having fun hanging them up in the classroom and in the office on our display. Today we had a great assembly in which an author came to visit and read his book to us. The book was "Can you buy me the Wind" by Steven Schoenfeld. It is  a great non-fiction story. The book will be available for purchase at our upcoming book fair in April.

Our secret reader program is the highlight of the children's day. Everyone is eager and excited to guess and find out who the special reader is. We ask that when you come in to read, you bring one or two books and check in in the office. Bringing in a snack is not necessary.
