Hands on work experience will include time spent assisting specialists at activity areas and also learning from group leaders and counselors in a group setting. Finally, L.T.’s will participate in Leadership Training Courses such as lifeguarding, sports coaching, counselor training, babysitting, and others. L.T.’s will leave each summer with new skills as well as certificates of completion.
The Crestwood Apprentice Program is a work experience opportunity for teens entering 10th to 12th grade. Crestwood's policy of hiring the most mature staff for its children leaves many teens who have been part of our renowned recreational programs wondering how they can be a part of Crestwood after they are too old for Teen Travel but not quite old enough to be a counselor. Our Apprentice Program offers an exceptional program for these young adults. This program offers several different work experiences designed to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of teenagers.
