1. What are Crestwood’s hours?

Crestwood’s school hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM. There is someone in the office between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Before and aftercare is available if needed at an additional charge.

2. Does Crestwood offer flexible choices of programs?

We offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of our Nursery through Pre-K. We have a morning half-day program, as well as an extended program. There is also a full-day program available. For our Toddlers, we offer a half-day readiness program.

3. Does Crestwood offer transportation?

Door to door transportation is included in our nursery thru pre-k program. You may choose to provide your own transportation.

4. Does Crestwood offer a lunch program?

A nutritious lunch program, with a variety of choices, is offered at an additional cost.

5. How can I receive more information or arrange to visit Crestwood?

You can call Crestwood anytime, Monday – Friday, and request our brochure and video. We will also be happy to set up an appointment to come tour our facility. Beginning in February, Crestwood is also open weekends for scheduled tours of our school.

6. Is Crestwood an approved private school?

Crestwood is a New York State accredited private school.

7. Are the teachers certified?

Our teachers are New York State certified. Some teachers are also certified in special education and reading.

8. Do parents get involved with the school?

Crestwood strives to build a bond between your family and ours and feels communication is the key. Through phone calls, newsletters home, the web and report cards, parents are kept up to date on what is going on in their child’s class. Parents are also welcome to come to the classroom to share a special talent or help out at parties. Crestwood also has a PTA that is always looking for new members.

9. Do children go on field trips?

Field trips are a part of our educational program. They are age appropriate and geared towards our curriculum. Trips include author visits at Barnes & Noble, the firehouse, dentist’s office, pumpkin farm and the supermarket.

 

Crestwood can offer your child a year round experience. Many of our dedicated and nurturing staff is here year round to offer your child continuity, and to ensure that their educational needs are met.
