Crestwood Teens 2011: DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS

For Teens Entering 7th thru 10th Grade
Teen Program includes one 2-day trip each 4 week session
Teen Plus Program includes one 2-day trip and one extended overnight trip each 4 week session

Crestwood's Teen Program has always been considered a unique program, always looking to do spectacular events and trips: from California to the Olympics to Florida to the Great Lakes Tour. Crestwood Teens are always looking to top the already long list of extraordinary achievements. In 2011, that will be accomplished with its next amazing 5 day trip, "DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS."

In August, teens who sign up for the "plus" program, head on a 5 day extravaganza to America's fastest growing vacation spot, San Antonio, Texas. Teens will fly out of New York and …

  • start the trip with the exciting Riverwalk, with its restaurants, shops attractions and riverboat tours. Teens will visit the Alamo and eat at the famous "Big Lou's". A visit to Ripley's Haunted Adventure with their "ghostbusting equipment" is sure to be a thrill.
  • Teens will cool off with a trip to Schlitterbahn, consistently voted the #1 water park in America. Teens can challenge Master Blaster Water Coaster, a water ride with the drops of a roller coaster !
  • Teens will visit the Natural Bridge Caverns, and see an underground wonder and see an actual rodeo, run by professionals at a working cattle ranch.
  • Teens will have a choice of excitement - Six Flags Fiesta Texas, with it's 13 coasters including Poltergeist, which sends a person soaring from 0-60 in 3 seconds, and Scream, Texas' largest inverted coaster. This park includes White Water Bay, a state of the art water park. The other choice is SeaWorld San Antonio. It has all the great shows and exhibits with 3 great coasters, 3 great water adventures and a water park !
  • There will be great evening activities such as Comedy Sportz, a comedy face-off between two teams where the audience picks the winner.
  • Teens will take a tour of the Alamodome, home of the Spurs and several "Final Fours."

All this and more in 5 days... only Crestwood could accomplish this!

Crestwood Teens are provided with a variety of daily activities ranging from CLUB, where teens pick the activities they want to do; to SPORTS DAYS; to DAILY TRIPS on Long Island – Cantiague Park, Splish Splash, Port Jefferson, Jones Beach, Skate Safe and much more; to CITY TRIPS which include the BEAST, a Broadway play, the Seaport, a Spirit Cruise and more; to EXCITING & UNIQUE LONGER TRIPS – to the best amusement parks in the Northeast -Mountain Creek Park, Great Adventure, Lake Compounce & Dorney Park. As always, Crestwood provides all meals and admissions. How can all this fit into one summer? Yet there's more!

In July, all teens that sign up for the plus program will go on a fabulous 4 day OHIO ADVENTURE. Some highlights include:

  • Going to Geauga Lake, formerly Sea World in Ohio. It is a combination of three parks in one!
  • A trip to Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center, a tour of Browns' Stadium, and an Indians Game.
  • A trip to the "roller coaster capital of the world," Cedar Point Park in Sandusky. This park has a water park and 19 major coasters – including Top Thrill Dragster with a 410 foot drop and Millennium Force with its high speeds and major twists and turns.
  • A trip to Canton to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame
  • Staying in the Holiday Inn Sandusky, with its indoor water park and indoor recreation area suitable for teenagers.

In July, all teens participate on a 2 day trip. Some examples of these two day trips include the highlights of the Jersey Shore, or going on the Pennsylvania Adventure. They will spend the first day at Hershey Park, "the sweetest place on Earth". The second day the teens will go to Adventure Sports, which has go-karts, bumper boats, mini-golf, batting cages and more!

In August, all teens participate on our 2 day trip to THE RESORT AT SPLIT ROCK in Lake Harmony, PA. Teens will have an active time here. They can swim, play tennis, football or softball, mini-golf, mountain bike, kayak or use canoes. Indoor activities include basketball, tennis, bowling, a game room, billiards, ping pong and a first run movie. In addition, Split Rock has opened a fabulous indoor water park, H2OH. There are enough activities to keep teens involved for the entire trip.

Those teens that do not go on our 4 or 5 day overnight trips have an exciting schedule with trips that make their time back home special. Crestwood truly does provide for everyone's needs.
