Dear Travel Parents,

Our Teen Adventure and Teen Travel campers had such an amazing time this past summer!  Last year’s trips were beyond amazing, but we are positive that next summer’s trips will be even better. Based on the number of enrollments to date, we are anticipating that many if not all weeks will be sold out soon. We already have VERY limited availability.

Update to Weekend Office Hours – June 18 & 19

Dear Crestwood Families,

Please be aware that we are having a Staff Orientation this Saturday, June 18th from 9am-4pm. Our entire team of Administrators will be involved with staff orientation and will not be able to give you their attention. We would appreciate you arranging your calls or visits on a different day.

In addition the office will be closed on Father’s Day Sunday, June 19th.  Of course, anything of an urgent matter, please contact us and we will do our best to help you or return your call.

Thank you for your cooperation.  We look forward to seeing enrolled families on Family Fun and Clothing Day on Saturday, June 25th from 10am-3pm.

CLOTHING AND FAMILY FUN DAY

Saturday, June 25th from 10 AM to 3 PM
CLOTHING & FAMILY FUN DAY is our in-person Camper/Parent Orientation that will take place on Saturday, June 25th from 10 AM to 3 PM. Arrive anytime you like and stay as long as you like. This special day is an opportunity for families to visit CRESTWOOD, familiarize themselves with their child’s Group Leader and bunk, drop off recommended clothing for use during the summer, meet key members of the CRESTWOOD team and generally enjoy the grounds and facilities (pools will NOT be open). It is a time when your child can familiarize themselves with their surroundings for the perfect adjustment.
 
Parking for Clothing & Family Fun Day: There is some parking at Crestwood, however, our Crestwood lot will not be able to accommodate all the cars on Family Fun Day. Additional parking and shuttle buses will be available about ½ mile south of Crestwood on the corner of Old Country Road and S. Service Road. The address for your GPS is 48 S. Service Road Melville – Park in the Rear Lot of the building. We will have staff in that lot to guide you.

Clothing and Personal Items:
We ask that you provide the following extra clothes in a closed bag to be stored at camp:

• three bathing suits
• one sweatshirt
• one extra t-shirt
• one pair of shorts
• one pair of jeans/sweatpants
• one pair of socks and underwear
• sunscreen – we recommend Spray sunscreen and Face stick over lotions.
• inexpensive raincoat
• For preschool age campers please also provide diapers and swim diapers if needed.

Crestwood will provide all towels for swim.  Towels from home may not be brought to camp.

Parents tell us how much their kids love Crestwood lunches! To view our July Menu & Allergy Substitution Form please click on the links.  If necessary, please return the Allergy Sub Form by June 10th and include your child’s name and food allergy on the top of the menu.

REMINDERS: FORMS DUE

If you have not done so already, please be sure to log into your Camp InTouch account by clicking here and putting in your password to fill out all the necessary online documents that are past due. Once logged in, please choose “Forms” on the dashboard and then you can view and click the links. Your child can not start camp without these. Please call the office at the number below if you need help.

For those campers who need medication during camp, please have your Doctor fill out & sign the Medication Authorization Form which is also located on your Camp InTouch dashboard under “Forms”. One Form per medication is required. Medications must be in the original packaging and be labeled correctly with the following: Child’s Name, Dosage, and Date of Birth or they can not be accepted per the Health Department. A follow up email will include information about Family Fun Day where your child’s medication can be dropped off at Crestwood.

Crestwood Day Camp 2022 Parent Information Guide

Dear Camp Families,

The start of camp is less than a month away.  Since the last day of camp in August 2021, we know that your children have been counting down the days til they could be back at Crestwood.  Like your children, as soon as one camp season ends, we begin getting ready for the next camp summer.

Our entire Administrative Team has been spending countless hours planning and preparing to make the 2022 Summer at Crestwood Day Camp the best one yet.  An important part of a successful summer includes properly preparing both campers and parents.  Enclosed in this email is our Parent Information Guide.  This booklet covers pretty much everything you would need to know from A-Z about Crestwood Day Camp.

Over the next couple of weeks, we ask that you read it and become familiar with our camp policies.  Our Division Heads will review some of the more important parts with you during their pre-camp zoom calls.

Finally, our Safer Together 2022 – Crestwood Parent Memo of Understanding Form is ready for you to review and sign (electronically) in your Camp-in-Touch account.  Please complete the form by June 18, 2022.

Important Reminders:

• Division Head Zoom Call – coming soon – Your Division Head will send a personal invite out by June 6th.
• Clothing & Family Fun Day – Saturday, June 25th from 10 AM to 3 PM
• Opening Day – Monday, June 27th
• Medical Forms, Personal Info Forms and Safer Together Forms are now due.  Please log in to your campminder account to complete (if you have not already done so). Click here.
• Lunch Substitution Form – Only required for children with an allergy to any items on our menu. Available on our website by clicking here.
